Oversized Lumbar Pillows
Hi everyone! I have been toying with the idea of adding a few posts about my recent “bargains” that I have found and sharing them with you. If you are anything like me when you find a great product at a great price you want to tell all your friends about it so they can capitalize on the deal too! So here it goes…And let me know if you catch any of the opportunities I post about I would love to see what you get and how you style it in your home.
First up is this Opalhouse Faux Fur Body Pillow from Target. Originally for $25.00 is now $18.75 online and ***BONUS*** I just found them stuffed on not 1 but 2 target end of aisles for $12.50. For anyone that is a KC local I was at the Mission, KS location and they also had the grey color for the same cost. But if you can’t steal one in store the $18.75 is a bargain on it’s own. Similar finds are at the bottom of the page but will cost you more money.
Naturally since I am telling you about this pillow. I bought one for my own home. In my guest bedroom I have the Serena and Lily Avalon Bed and didn’t want to totally load it up with throw pillows but the challenge was placing something along the abutting wall… my solution was layering the Opalhouse Faux Fur Body Pillow with 3 other smaller throw pillows. See it styled below.
Other alternative looks I love are below. These options are shorter than the target version, real vs faux fur and the cover/insert are sold separately. I personally love the faux fur and like having a longer pillow because it alleviates the need to buy multiples. #targetdoesitagain

The first time I feel in love with the lumbar pillow was when I saw The Citizenry’s products. So if fur isn’t your thing and you crave more texture take a look through their pillow stock. They have some of the most gorgeous textured lumbar pillows.
And if you need more convincing I have added a couple quick notes about why I love lumbar pillows.
- They minimize clutter. If you place one lumbar pillow along the back of your sofa or layered in front of your standard bed pillow shams the lumbar pillow takes the places of 2-3 throw pillows.
- It’s a “cleaner” look, without comprising the addition of texture. If you know me, I think any of my close family members know I LOVE throw pillows, they give an opportunity to bring in texture and color with minimal investment.
